Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I've been searching for the past month for the perfect berry winter lip shade and I think I've come prettttty close with the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush.

Revlon says "It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon. Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour. "
I'm not usually one to agree with promotional speak but I do agree with this, other stains I've tried such as Benefits' Benetint, while gorgeous, tend to dry my lips out whilst this balm/stain hybrid keeps them soft all day. The stain does last all day too which is fantastic BUT, this particular shade fades from a beautiful deep berry colour to a bright pink which is pretty but not what I was looking for :(.

Just applied, swatched lightly then built up, the gorgeous packaging, after 4 hours wear

Despite this, which means I reapply more often than usual, I still love this stain and would prefer to spend £7.99 on this than £16 on it's Clinique Chubby Stick rival.

I'm currently split between which shade to next add to my collection, I was leaning towards Darling, the lilac but am now considering the hot pink Lovesick thanks to this video from Louise of a Sprinkle of Glitter!

Which one's taking your fancy?

Review: Clinique Perfectly Real Makeup

I purchased this foundation about three months ago now and with almost daily use of it now feel it's been thoroughly roadtested for an honest review :)
Clinique Perfectly Real Makeup £21.50

I love this foundation! I'm not one to rave about products usually unless they're exceptionally thrilling but despite spending the last three years trying nearly every 'popular' foundation out there, I've found nothing rivals this in the naturally flawless everyday look it gives my skin.

I apply this in the morning with my body shop flat foundation brush (which I'm not really loving, any recommendations?) after cleansing, moisturising and applying primer across my t-zone and my chin and set it lightly with some pressed powder and find for work it will last straight through an eight hour shift no problems. However on days when I'm rushing about a lot, on and off buses and generally a lot more active I'll find myself touching up after about five hours so though I wouldn't say this is the most hard-wearing base I've used it still lasts better than average for me.
Apologies for rubbishy iPhone pics, camera is awol :(
The website states its a moderate coverage and I agree with that, I also find that it's easily buildable (I like to apply a little more over my cheeks where I have quite a bit of redness) but I do still often use a touch of concealer on any blemishes or dark circles, I find this is rubbish at covering my blemishes but I rarely get spots so I don't find it too big an issue for me.

At £21.50 I find this foundation super reasonably priced, with many drugstore brands upping their prices to £12-£15 for foundation lately, I would happily pay the same again for such a quality product.

There's nothing I don't love about this foundation, it does everything I ask of it, it gives me a lovely semi-matte finish and lasts all day with minimum effort without any adverse affect of my skin :) tip top stuff if you ask me :)

What's your favourite everyday foundation? I'd love to hear in the comments and discover something new :)

Lots of love, xo
